I think I will be closing this blog soon as I reopen my original NativeAlien.us. Not just yet though. By the way, I was one of the people not swept up by the flag waving, jingoistic march to war in the first place. Does that make me better than the idiot savants that confuse patriotism with narrow-minded obedience... hmm... yes, I'd like to think so.

sigh...

So, now we write discrimination into the United States Constitution? What a said day. Folks, the US Consititution is for expanding individual rights and limited government.

A sad day indeed that extremist reactionaries bigots run our country and define the debate on this issue.

Oh... and by the way, I read recently that divorce has now reached 52% in this country. Now there something sancified.

Today is a busy day. I am trying to clear my schedule so that I can attend the funeral of my best friend's son tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a hard day.

Yesterday was the second anniversary of the 9|11 attacks and I find myself sad. Sad that bad men can cause so much pain in the name of religion, sad the world is full of anger and hatred, and sad that America is led by neo-fascists like Bush, Cheney, and Ashcroft.

Only utterly incompetent "diplomats" could have so completely squandered the global goodwill this nation had showered upon it immeditely following the attacks. Now the world looks at us not as victims who deserve to enact justice, but as imperialist interlopers bent on global hegemony under the guise of a war on terror. Pax Americana.

The Bush Regime feeds the anger and hatred vented at our great nation in such blatant ways only the blind and deaf GOP partisan could ignore. All of this while millions of Americans are thrown out of work at a near record pace and the 'Patriot Act' works to clip the very civil rights all of these men claim to be protecting. What a joke!

Soon though this interregnum will pass.
